In this workshop, we'll learn how to create a "basic upright moribana" arrangement; the first arrangement every student must make when following the traditional curriculum. With this arrangement, you'll learn the zen principles of ikebana put into action. You'll also learn the concepts of "line, color and mass" which can be applied to any other visual art form.
About the Artist:
Auralynn Nguyen is a Vietnamese-American artist certified by the Sogetsu school of ikebana. She has studied the art extensively in Japan, and takes into the account that "ikebana can be done anywhere, anytime, by anyone, with any material".
